When I receive E-mails I recieve the following error from ESET; "Error Processing Antispam request".
    I'm using Microsoft Outlook 2010.
    How can this be resolved?

    Hi all,

I seem to be having the same problem with ESS and wondered if anyone could please shed light on why this might occur, and how it could be fixed?

The 'Error processing antispam request' message appears when opening Outlook 2003. It only seems to appear when spam message are received, I think, as it hasn't appeared when receiving from at least some safe messages.

We are using ESS v. The antispam module as displayed in the programmenu seems to be working fine, and despite having disabled/ reenabled the module, the message still appears.

Does anyone have any ideas as to what could be causing this? I'm guessing the best way to fix this is to reinstall but wanted to check in here first just in case there was something else to try first.

Thanks in advance for your help!

    Hi,

Please make sure you're running the latest version (4.2.71) of ESS.

Now, please complete the following steps:

    1. Close your email client.
    2. Start > Run > cmd.exe
    3. Type in:

    del /Q "%APPDATA%\ESET\ESET Smart Security\Antispam\*.*"

    4. Open your email client again and see if the problem persists.

If so, please check the following folder:

    XP:
    C:\Documents and Settings\%USERNAME%\Application Data\ESET\ESET Smart Security

    Vista/W7:
    C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\ESET\ESET Smart Security

Please verify you have read/write access into this folder.

    Hope this helps.
