IE9 Beta is available for download and use by the general public. Am I correct that there will not be Prevx or SafeOnLine support until the beta is over? Thanks.

That is true but some of Prevx SafeOnline might still work on the IE9 beta as I have not tried it but you would still have full protection of Prevx 3.0 as it is not Browser dependent!

Thanks for reply. Good to know. There are no blue or green icons at top of browser window.

Seems to work fine with IE9 Beta in as much as I've used it so far.

So you have the SafeOnline tab? And also your OS specs please!

Yep, SafeOnline tab works ok, BHO installed etc. Windows 7 32bit, also using
    NIS 2011. :)

Great! I wonder why TechElder doesn't see the tab? Did you have to reinstall Prevx after the install of IE9 to get the BHO installed?

No, I just installed IE9 Beta, and it seems to have just installed on top of IE8, not that I realised that this was happening at the time. Guess it's usual to try this perhaps in a virtualbox, but I really don't mind on this laptop, and prefer to
see how applications run in a realistic environment. I'll get some screenies if you want? Guess SafeOnline might only be working because I installed IE in this
    way possibly?

I installed IE9 beta on top of IE8. Prior to that I had updated Prevx to the latest stable version 3.0.5.199. That was also on top of previous version. Both updates went without a hitch. SafeOnline BHO was enabled after a query by new version of IE. Don't know the exact wording of query but did ask if installed BHO should be activated.
Tested SafeOnline by navigating to known bad site. Was immediately blocked by SafeOnline, so assume it is apparently working OK.

Running Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit. Also running Avast 5.0.677 Free.

But you still have no tab? Can you make the Browser window smaller to see if it is on top of the Browser window and if it's still not there you could consider to uninstall and reboot and download 3.0.5.199 from https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showpost.php?p=1749652&postcount=1 and after the learning scan install your key again!

It works for me(IE 32 bit, win 7 32 bit, build 199.) Also shows IP etc. correctly in the little window. Though it was on top first, so I had to make the IE window smaller so I could see it and then move it to a visible place.

I get the green PrevX SO tab at the top of the page intermittently. I know it's Prev X policy not to add SO protection to a browser until its past beta but the fact that some folks are getting the green tab consistently suggests otherwise. Intriguing....

OK. I had forgotten to try minimizing browser window. Green and blue icons are visible with browser window minimized.

BoernkoolMetworst--How do you reposition the icon??

    Thank all for your help.

Just click on the tab and drag the tab window to where you want it and that's it!

Yes when SafeOnline came out it was all over the place because everyone had different add-ons and skins so we asked to make it movable which made the best sense as we can put it where we want it now! :thumb: And you can do that with all supported Browsers!
