Hi
I am running SafeOnline v3.0.5.185 Facebook plus Windows 7 64 bit. I have setup security in all departments to max. Including run a scan whilst logging in and not allowing access to destination page until after scan finishes. Problem is the latter does not kick in. I am able to log in to all banking sites at will without a scan being run much less only allowing access until after scan has finished. Any ideas why I am having this problem? Thanks Terry |

It probably is but it is a silent scan! Go into the SafeOnline GUI>Settings>Scheduler>Untick Do not show any window while scanning: to see if that shows a scan window? TH

In addition to TH's suggestion, there is some logic behind the scanning to prevent constantly rescanning on every visitation. A scan will not be run if another scan has been run within the last hour, and a scan won't run if all of the files on the PC are known trusted. Let me know if you have any questions - if you'd like me to take a look at your scan results directly, click Tools - Save Scan Results and send the log file to report@prevxresearch.com, which should help narrow down the cause ![]() |

Hi
I think I have solved my problem of "SAFEONLINE Not Running Scan Before Logging In". For the benefit of other users I explain here. When Prevx help suggested saving the scan results I did this and up popped a message saying that the last scan had been aborted. It suggested running a full new scan before activating the save scan instruction. I ran this scan after which everything seems to work OK, that is when I click on a protected site a scan now runs. CONCLUSION That a previously (not known about) aborted scan caused the problem. Thanks Terry |

Thank you for the information This is the correct behavior - essentially, if Prevx sees that the last scan was cancelled, it will assume you wanted to log in quickly or do something differently than run a full scan, and will therefore not try to scan next. However, once the next scheduled scan runs, this identifier is reset and you will then scan again.Let me know if you have any questions! |
