do u have any details on what TrueCrypt problems these are? As i am still not able to resolve the issue with support etc due to creating dump issues

Bump! Any further info on this issue... I believe I may be having the problem as well... it seems to be getting "worse"... happens to me about 50% of the time when I try to mount Truecrypt Volumes.

Running Win7 x64 SP1 and ESET SS4 4.2.71.2 and TC 7a
Basically all the latest and greatest

Yep. Definitely seems to be a problem here. Disabling boot sector scan 100% solved my issue so far. It was a bit intermittent... so a week or two will validate this. I have filed a bug with Truecrypt folks.

Disabling boot sector scan also solved my problems with Truecrypt and ESET SmartSecurity. Thank you Jadoube for the tip.

Unfortunately... I still see random bluescreen crashes on TrueCrypt volume mount; one or two per week. I am going to uninstall ESET and try BitDefender and see if that clears it up.

I was just about to upgrade from NOD32 v3.0.695 to the latest version 4 when I saw this thread. I use TrueCrypt v7 a lot but only on files mounted as encrypted volumes, not encrypted disks. I am running Windows XP SP3 with 2GB RAM and haven't seen any problems mounting TC volumes. Should I hold off upgrading NOD32 to v4?

Thanks,
patermann

Note: I have also got ESET SS v4 on a Win7 (32-bit) laptop. I have installed TC7 but I haven't tried using it yet. I'll let you know when I do...

No one who is qualified to have an opinion is commenting :-) But I think the consensus is that NOD32/ESET has issues with TrueCrypt 7a and your mileage may vary.

For myself... I have been trying the latest BitDefender for the last week and had zero issues with blue screens. So for me the answer is clear... I will be switching to BitDefender on my Dell laptop (win7 x64).
My other two machines with NOD32 seem ok with Truecrypt 7a. One is a Win7 x64 Intel whitebox and the other is an Asus Eee netbook WinXP x86... so for now they can stay as is.

FYI... the two machines that are stable are rock solid. Never crashed BUT they are running default install NOD32. My Dell with all the problems was running the full ESET 4.

I have join this forum just to say I Have the same issue on my both PC

desktop
Win7pro x64 SP1 and ESET NOD32 Antivirus 4.2.67.10 and TC 7a

notebook
Win7pro x64 SP1 and ESET NOD32 Antivirus 4.2.67.10 and TC 7

ESET why you dont fix that issue? you all time ask for damp, but why you dont see that this issue on different hardware configs and different software sets and only two things need to get this BSOD issue on your test PC.

I use ESET software more then 5 years my subscribtion ends soon and now i think about other antivirus software

I heve no issue with whole system disk encryption only when mount TC container or portition.

I disabled scan boot sector (in realtime section) seem it helps.

Just so you know I have had the same problem for at least 6 months, It would happen occasionally after I switched to TC 7. I couldn't tolerate BSOD so I stopped using True Crypt. W7-64 SP1

What supplied fix are you referring to.

I have W7 x64 SP1 and ESET 4.2.71.2 and am getting BSOD almost everytime I try to mount the file container. Was about 75% of the time and the only real change was Service Pack 1. Tried disabling boot sector scan to no avail.

Hit up Macros there is a new eamonm.sys which seems to have solved these issues. Havent had a BSOD since applying to both my machines

Hi Marcos, Nurgle tells me you have a new eamonm.sys version (my current is 12/21/2011 2:04PM) that could solve my TrueCrypt BSOD problem when trying to mount a file container. BSOD while mounting is near 100% of the time.

W7 x64 SP1, ESET NOD32 4.2.72.2, TrueCrypt 7.0a

Is this the same problem as people are having with secure safes by Steganos?
So maybe ESET could focus on this and come up with a joint solution?

ESET SMART SECURITY 5 RC solved my problem with Steganos, I suggest you try it.

Hmmm I am about to rebuild my laptop and I want to go back to ESET. I think I will try the Beta of ESET 5. Anyone else have any luck with the TrueCrypt BSOD and ESET 5? Seems like it might be the ticket... if it works I'll report back.

Would any of the company folks care to comment?

Certainly worth a try. V5 contains a fix to the TrueCrypt issue that I provided to a couple of people here and everybody confirmed it indeed worked.
