First test of MSE2 Beta

Based on industry experience, never trust the beta of any AV software to be even vaguely representative of the end product. Even once a GM is made, update systems will kick in immediately. Fault burn-downs will keep going until release day, and sometimes dramatically. It's not uncommon to see 50-100+ faults on the GM that the burn-down addresses prior to release.

I've got a feeling in my water that this AV is going to be very impressive indeed once finalized.

 

I used it for a total of four days it was good but the problrm for me was it used to turn red for a while before turning green(few seconds) and the boot up was slooooow so moved to v1.0.1963.0 again(vista 32 bit).
The scan time has not improved but feels lite ...overall a good product and free too

 

Now the EU forced Microsoft to untangle OS and Browser, they will have to add value to their browser. MSE will be geared to bring more benefits when using IE.

 

IE9 is going to be very tempting. DEP+ASLR+SmartScreen+Protected Mode+MSE BHO+"extra unannounced security". Maybe not in speed, but definitely in terms of security.

I can see it becoming my recommended browser, or at least the browser I install/tell people to use. Even if I don't end up using it myself, just for the secure aspect.
