Default TCPView v3.0

Introduction:

TCPView is a Windows program that will show you detailed listings of all TCP and UDP endpoints on your system, including the local and remote addresses and state of TCP connections. On Windows Server 2008, Vista, and XP, TCPView also reports the name of the process that owns the endpoint. TCPView provides a more informative and conveniently presented subset of the Netstat program that ships with Windows. The TCPView download includes Tcpvcon, a command-line version with the same functionality.

This major update to TCPView, a TCP/UDP endpoint viewing utility, adds endpoint send and receive statistics by leveraging ETW when TCPView is run with administrative rights. It also breaks ports and addresses into separate columns.

Anyone besides me noticed a bug with the interface of this new version? TCPView's window on the last version had a white background. With this new version (at least on my systems) I have a white background in some areas and my desktop wallpaper showing through in others with some of it blurred.

Looks like v3.0 has been pulled, for the time being at least. The zip file currently contains an earlier version (2.54, I believe it is).

v3 has reappeared in download.
I thought there might finally be logging like the old TCP View Pro. But no.

The version 3 that is up again is still not right, at least not on XP SP 3. I assume there will be an update soon...

I tried downloading it again a few moments ago and it seems that 2.54 is back again.

v3.0 is back up again but the bug remains. According to "curtismetz", Admin at the Sysinternals forum:

"Mark is working on the GUI bug now... we will have it up in a couple of days."

Unfortunately, some issues remain.

To be fixed in the near future, hopefully.
