Default Which Defragger Has The Most Features?

The only defraggers with lots of features are the big three (perfectdisk, oo, and diskkeeper) right?

Yes i know that doesn't mean their the best at defragging .

Also which has a better real-time defrag? OO or Disktrix since PD doesn't really have one.

Thumbs up Re: Which Defragger Has The Most Features?

As far as Real-Time Defragmentation, I always wondered myself:
Can you effectively Defragment Windows when
Services are Running and Files are Open?

That's why Boot-Time Defrag is essential.
Puran FREE has Boot-Time Defrag.

Just a quick note of clarification. PerfectDisk does provide real-time defrag - it runs in the background during idle time. Options also exist to schedule if real-time is not an option for you or your site, which is often the case with certain servers. Regarding features, it also has various storage management features (e.g. duplicate file removal, storage reports, etc.) in addition to a full range of standard defrag features.

Thanks,

Just to complete the description, PuranDefrag provides some real time defrag, either after a given idle time or at a given time. You can define jobs with great flexibility. The only drawback is you just get the last available log when opening the main GUI.

Don't know which has the most, but IMHO "most features" should read features I need. Then the search would narrow to the products with those.

If I was running a server I sure would NOT de-frag on the fly.

If it was performance that made me want to do it I would try some other way, faster disk data transfer, more RAM more CPU.
