They have updated it in the last build and confirmed in email that it was a FP. Actually it was a detection by their heuristics. So, in the new build, with the new Md5, it is detecting it again.

So Tarnak will say that it work well at OCT 7.

after that day,if you run the 1.27.3 version it will get the above error message.

I'm busy with another project so I take less time on Safe Returner in the last 30 days.

I have update to 1.27.4,and sorry again for that

there is something new in 1.27.4 with rootkit detection

I will add a note with the new version later.

Hello Egomoo,

May I know when version 1.27.4 will be available for download on your website?

I am now unable to perform any scan unsuccessfully with version 1.27.3 & there is no way to automatically update it to version 1.27.4.

I always encounter this error while scanning - "An unexpected error occured, please restart application to try again".

Thank you for your attention.

Hi,I'm sorry its my fault.

The last 1.27.3 has date time expired limitation.

You could uninstall it ,then download new 1.27.3 version from website, then it could update to 1.27.4

Giving it a try.
It is hanging while scanning.
It is stuck on a .exe, scan at 25+ minutes and counting.

Hi,

I'm so sorry that I want to count active users while using google-analytics.

And I simply add a script to the "update.php" which I think it will be okay.

But now,you see it has error message.

It's my fault that do not test again while simple modify the update script

I have fixed the problem

What can Safe Returner do that Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware cannot?

MBAM is a signature based anti-malware tool,

So it must has weak point to detect the latest malware or rogue which is quite easy for tech guy but MBAM find nothing after half an hour scan.

you could see a lot of help posts for help remove very simple malware and MBAM can not detect at MBAM forum

http://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?showforum=7

Quote:
Safe Returner identifies and resolves both known and unknown Spyware threats, including color-coded Spyware Severity Identification while Traditional antivirus software cannot do this and only offers reactive protection from previously classified threats

The most import Safe Returner only takes less than 5 minutes for scan and it is a non-signature based antimalware tool.

I could have sworn that I saw a popup back in December saying that the definitions required updating, but then I got the errors instead as per my post #108 above.

So I think, that the definitions will be updated, eventually.

Thanks for the confirmation.

Hopefully we will get a database update soon.

Can confirm that an update has been made to the database, but it appears to be minor.

Yes, there is a new Database: 1013.

I have just updated to the latest, but the date of this new database is still "10/14/2010".

I know that one program.exe was added, and that was all, it seems

Egomoo, may explain why the date of the database remains unchanged.

I have updated SafeReturner in two separate snapshots, and now have different datebase dates. This is since the program upgraded to version 1.28 a few days ago.
