Hello all,
We're pleased to announce the next official release of Prevx/SafeOnline - 3.0.5.159. It should be released out for update within the next few days to existing users, but users can manually download the upgraded version from:

- (P3E) Minor changes to Enterprise support to improve the install process
- (PSO) Added preliminary support for SRWare Iron
- (PSO) Fixed some issues with Chrome
- (PSO) Fixed compatibility with RocketDock
- (PSO) Fixed compatibility with YzShadow
- (PSO) Text changes when receiving credential protection messages
- (PSO) Improved screengrabber protection
- (P3E) Improved silent execution support in Enterprise
- (P3E) Major improvements in the install process for Enterprise
- (P3E) Improved Enterprise server communication and data organization
- (P30) Improved failover logic on installation if an internet connection is not present
- (P30) Improved communications for the new major upgrades to the Prevx cloud architecture
- (P30) Fixed an issue handling files while protection is disabled
- (P30) Improved compatibility with Symantec Endpoint Protection
- (P30) Minor textual changes when aborting the learning scan
- (PSO) Fixed an issue causing AOL to not be able to read cookies
- (PSO) Added full AOL browser compatibility, including the browser tab into the window
- (P3E) Fixed an issue causing windows to flicker under Enterprise mode

Update:
We've put out a minor update to synchronize Enterprise releases as version 3.0.5.161 now. The only other changes are:
- (P30) Fixed an issue loading the user process on XP x64
- (P30) Optimized the storage of file name data to improve browser heuristics

Please let me know if you have any questions or find any issues! Thanks for the assistance

After installing this I'm seeing 5 'Malicious Programs' in MyPrevx, even though I'm 99% sure my system's clean. No details on MyPrevx, no complaints from the app itself, and the log doesn't flag anything as malicious.

Could you please send a scan log to report@prevxresearch.com? We should be able to take a closer look from there

Thanks!

Thanks, I have upgraded to this version.

In PSO you have added *.amazon.co.uk to the list of pre-configured sites but *.amazon/* is still not correct. It should be *.amazon.*/*.

I can't find this in the changelog.

Holy buggnutz! The year isn't even half over yet and there've been over a dozen incremental releases so far with a combined change-log itemization approaching 200. The amount prepended as Fixed is, for a security product, disturbing as are those Improved (just another way of saying, "We didn't get it quite right,"). Proportionately, the number of Added nears insignificance. I've never seen anything at these levels outside of beta testing.

Good thing it's free. Mostly.

Fanboyz... sorry to graffiti your Holy Ox, but the numbers speak.

Not sure why this is a bad thing? Would it be better if we were not actively improving our products? We can certainly not show changelogs like most vendors do but we like being transparent about our improvements. We are also the only product that is compatible with all other major security solutions - it certainly would be much easier if they all didn't change or if we didn't have to be compatible, but isn't is preferable to be this way?

The combination of different versions of Windows, numerous supported browsers that are always releasing new builds and literally dozens of ever evolving security apps which Prevx intend to be compatible with, is really overwhelming. The quality of Prvex's programmers work to respond to every new issue that all the involved software's evolution brings is trully amazing.

On the other hand, your trolling is so pathetic that it's almost quaint. I hope you visit us more often, I always enjoy a good laugh.

I agree Prevx keeps on getting better and when there is a problem they are right on it to fix any problem that may arise and also they don't have to be compatible with all other programs they could always say to bad if you want to use our product get rid of the other conflicting application but no they are willing to work with us users to make things coexist with our other security layers and solutions and that is what I want! It's not FANBOY talk I want something that is secure and light on resources with Great protection and Great support in which we have with Prevx and Joe is a big part of it but even there support inbox helps out with all speediness and Courtesy! IMO

Excellent post there

Some folks just don't realize how much work is involved in getting something like SOL working in harmony with numerous browsers and a plethora of addons, plugins and assorted other security apps. And just when they do so along come a whole load of updates to create more potential issues,IMO they do a great job under trying circumstances.

If you need your license key you can copy it from the MYPrevx site...

Hello BOB2010 and welcome to the Official Prevx support forums!

Can you please contact the customer support inbox with your problem as it is the fastest way to resolve your issue: http://info.prevx.com/service.asp as I don't think you can send a PM to PrevxHelp with your License code at this time because you are a new member!

And the next time there is no need to uninstall the old version as you can install over top to keep your license info and settings!

HTH,

TH

Maybe it isn't allowed, from what I've heard it's pretty easy to get past it

I have v3.0.5.143 and my auto update fails. Should I wait later and try again?
Thanks.

Thanks for the update, could we have some sort of mailing list to warn us when this happens?

An example from the coalface....

Today, I was installing Prevx on to a pc for a customer. As I'm installing it, Prevx runs it's scan & I'm waiting to (copy &) paste the licence code into the software. If an upgrade is available, Prevx will sometimes download & install the upgrade immediately & WITHOUT WARNING. So for instance, I could be part way through pasting the licence code, while Prevx closes then reopens in the new version unlicenced. I enter the code again & then have to go through the deactivate/reactivate hell that is the Prevx licencing system with an anxious customer alongside me.

On this occasion, the problem did not occur, but it really is an issue for an active reseller. I'm happy with silent upgrades, but perhaps on a new installation there could be a delay of 5-10 minutes so that there's a window to enter the code without interruption?
