ESET blocking adress, what's this?

Hello.

Since yesterday I'm getting warnings like these:

I thought it was a virus, so i scanned my system with Malware Bytes. The program scanned 6 infections and deleted them..

But.. I'm still getting these warnings!

I scanned again with Malware Bytes and with ESET.. 0 infection

I believe ESET is blocking an suspicious internet adress.
Can somebody tell me how to stop this 'internet adress' attacking my PC?

By the way, I'm only getting the ESET pop-up while I'm in Firefox.

some Russian ip address; are you browsing when the warning shows or ? Empty browser cache

Yes, I only get it when I'm browsing.

I cleaned browser cache, but didn't help. Still getting the warnings

 

what browser are you using, can you clear it all, cache history etc? see for IE 7/8

if you run IE with no addons does it occur still

what about using some other browser is the warning still there?

There may be something on the machine that's calling that URL but the http scanner has blocked it. It may be a page known to host malware.

You might want to open a case with support. Include the "Detected threats" log and a link to this thread. They'll be able to take a look and offer help.

Yes sounds like a hosts file issue.

 

Looks like a little old post.

But if you got the solution from ESET support, say to us. So we can share this to other people with same problems
