I got hit with the spyware error #384

First download CWshredder from http://www.thespykiller.co.uk then Run it
Close all browser windows, click on the cwshredder.exe then click "FIX" (Not "Scan only") and let it do it's thing. Now as CWS installs via the byte verifier exploit in M$ JavaVM, just surfing a page with an infected applet can install it with no user participation. So once you’ve run the above, it is vital that you go here, click Scan for updates in the main frame, and download and install all CRITICAL updates recommended. then reboot & post a new log

That did it! I am currently reply back to you from my own computer, something I haven't been able to do for two days. Thanks!
I downloaded the two critical updates that I was missing. When I first opened my brouser I still had the same spyware error message, but was able to type in an address and was also able to change my homepage. When I did change my homepage I still got that annoying pop-up window that covers the entire windows interface. Is there anything else I need to do? Welcome to Wilders. Before you start, please unzip or move HijackThis to a separate folder of its own. The program will make backups to the folder it's in. These easily get lost in a temporary folder or a folder with other programs. Check the following items in HijackThis. Close all windows except HijackThis and click Fix checked: R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Page_URL = C:\WINDOWS\secure.html R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = C:\WINDOWS\secure.html R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Page_URL = C:\WINDOWS\secure.html R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Local Page = C:\WINDOWS\secure.html R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Local Page = C:\WINDOWS\secure.html O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Online Secuirity] C:\WINDOWS\svchost.exe There also may be hidden files. Okay, did everything that you advised. I could not find a C:\WINDOWS\svchost.exe file, but I did find the other.
