Hi, I'm using Opera v10.10 and making searches via https://startpage.com/ The problem is that it does not let me click to the next page of results and I was wondering why? Javascript is on. I don't have Java installed. Referrer info is off. Is there something I have missed as these settings have remained the same and it was working fine up until now?

Hi, works fine for me with FF no/script/java/cookies. Don't have opera to test it.

Yes, it works in IE 7 and Firefox for me too, but I also want it working in Opera if possible.

Works fine under Opera 10.5 but I've not tested 10.1

According to this dev.opera page, those CSS errors seem to indicate browser incompatibility - Quote:

If you need an alternative to Startpage you may want to look into Yauba
I just discovered it recently (it is still on beta) and it seems pretty cool, it even includes the search results with a proxy link to visit them.

Thank you for posting about Yauba, I'd not heard of it. I've added it to my IE8 browser search box. I'm always interested in alternatives to google and the others that keep search query logs. |

Upgrading to the latest version of Opera v10.51 has fixed the problem, although it does take a lot longer than google to load the page. There are a lot of what Opera calls 'elements' (52 of them) which are loading when I use the https version of the site.

Hi Tarnak,
Same results - but very different. Ploder was pointing out that Scroogle has an SSL version of the page! Your ISP can't see https://ssl.scroogle.org/ but the link you use is not secured. |
