Paragon Virtualization Manager 2010 for a dummy

I created a virtual disk using P2V Copy and chose my C drive as source. After the creation (which took an hour) I clicked `connected' the new virtual disk and it reported the virtual disk is connected. But I cannot see an extra disk in Explorer and I have no idea what to do next. I bought the software so I could run a virtual copy of my computer, test software and then decide if I want to dump the virtual drive or `update' my normal OS. Do I need more software to do this I'm confused

You need to have a virtual machine as well such as Microsoft Virtual PC, Sun VirtualBox, VMware Workstation, VMwareT Fusion

P2V Copy only provide you the virtual disk conversion. You still need to have the software to emulate the virtual computer. For instance, if you have VMware installed, you would then create the virtual machine, and mount the virtual disk you created with P2V copy.

I have a question, seems like a cool tool, but when you make a clone of your "real OS", it will not actually copy all of the data on your HDD (audio, video etc.), right?

Yes,

Everything on the disk that is copied will be on the virtual disk file when it is created, if your "real OS" has other data on that partition, or the other partition is copied as well, then it will all be copied to the virtual machine, this includes audio/video files, documents, applications and even settings, such as saved passwords, etc. Essentially everything is copied to the VM.
