I have FREE products installed on notebook with Windows 7 64 bit, RAM 4GB, HD 320GB, Intel Core 2 Duo P8700 inside 2.53GHZ, 512MB NVIDIA Geforce 9600M GS:

COMODO System-Cleaner
FortiClient Endpoint Security Suite Standard Edition
(antivirus+antispyware+firewall)
Glary utilities
IObit Security 360
KeyScrambler
Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
Microsoft Security Essentials
Mozilla Firefox + Adblock Plus
SUPERAntiSpyware
Windows Firewall

I ask which are FREE software worthing addition or replacement maintaining high performance without annoying popus.

 

You have redundancy with both IObit and Malwarebytes on your system. I would drop IObit. See this post for more info.

 

Option 1: Drop Iobit. Remove Firefox and get Opera.
Option 2: Drop Forticlient. Drop Iobit. Drop MSE. Drop SAS. Install Comodo Firewall + Defense+ and get Avast 5 home as antivirus. Install a-squared free.
Option 3: Drop Forticlient. Drop Iobit. Drop MSE. Drop SAS. Install OA free and get Avast 5 home as antivirus. Install a-squared free.

 

You definitely don't need that many things on your system.

Get rid of IObit and Forticlient and Advanced Systemcare And Comodo System cleaner.

Other than that you should be good.


Also IMO, Malwarebytes has very low detection rates with malware, I would use A-Squared Anti-Malware.

 

You have to recheck Malwarebytes. It's really great and has really good detection rates. It's not a classical antivirus...it was created to help you detect things that the classical antiviruses usually miss or detect after some days. MBAM has to be used together with a classical antivirus.

A-squared is great too. Current version has to be used with a classical antivirus since the paid version scans in real-time only on-execution. The next version will use 100% the potential of a^2's two engines giving you the option to scan on execution and on access.

 

Perhaps you could use Sandboxie, trap your browsers etc, and get rid of a few of those? Seems like a headache managing that much security to me. What you got to protect, a shirt of Mithril or a Magic Ring

You could also drop either CCleaner or Glary Utilities. If what you want is just for cleaning the HD, then stick with CCleaner.

Personally i think you can go with:
Microsoft Security Essentials or avast 5 or avira free as realtime (your personal choice)
malwarebytes or a-squared free as on demand
add something like sandboxie (read about the limitation of the x64 first) or add the new comodo x64 policy based Defense+ module when it go final or use the Prevx safeonline free version for facebook users.

 

Iobit Security have 360 FREE real time protection, Malwarebytes NO
I can replace Malwarebytes with A-squared free, if yuou think it is better
Microsoft Security Essentals removes all Spycar.org test files before downloading, awesome.
I have set Forticlient firewall to Basic business profile, no popus are displayed
I have installed Pctools Firewall Plus and Comodo Internet Security free , i removed due to continuous popups.

I tryed install Privatefirewall, Outpost firewall, Softperfect firewall but not install was possible.

True, but the overall detection/removal rate is abysmal since they no longer include the stolen Malwarebytes' database.

Nothing against MSE, but that's not a proper way to select an antivirus. In fact it's downright obtuse.

 

Same as Elite - drop first your paranoia
One program for each category - not three or four.
Or use a (one) good paid software - its worth.
i am no friend of this massive freeware crap.

PS all those cleaners - all can trash your system in an bad way
that effective help for problems is not possible.

Rogue software are not for me due to i donwload only by trusted sites like www.softpedia.com and autors web sites, of course, like www.piriform.com, www.iobit.com, www.glarysoft.com, www.forticlient.com, www.microsoft.com/security_esentials and so on

 

Like jmonge writes, I find it hard to believe all this actually works.
And about rogue sw/IOBit, have you read the information on the IOBit/MBAM affair?
If so, I'd expect a post on uninstalling 360 Security.

ESET AV (paid)
Malware Defender (HIPS, paid) (includes a GUI for Windows 7 Firewall)

on demand:
CCleaner - once a week
Glary (portable) - not really usefull - once a month
MBAM (portable, free) - once a month

i have similar experience with other combinations - but at any time not more
than 2, max 3, active components due interferences.
you can max out your core2 - but then dont whine when your computer is damn slow.

If they are all set to on demand only and dont start with the system I would assume it would be fine. There is a difference from on-demand and real time protection.

I am surprised you PC can even boot. I'd get rid of Forticlient, Glary, Comodo System Cleaner, Iobot 360, A-Squared Free, and Advance system care. That would make your setup: MSE/Firefox +Adblock List/Windows Firewall/Superantispyware/Malwarebytes/Keyscrambler/CCleaner

 

Id also get rid of SAS. With MSE, SAS, and MBAM, SAS is redundant as well.

 

Advanced SystemCare, Glary Utilities, Comodo System-Cleaner and CCleaner do all exactly the same, why the hell would you want all 4 of them on your pc. Pick your favourite. I'd go for CCleaner because it is light and fast and good. (Glary Utilities as second choice).

Firefox browser is a perfect choice, so is Windows Firewall, so is KeyScrambler.

All you more have to pick is realtime and on-demand.

For realtime i would suggest MSE (or avast 5) and not Forticlient.

Then on-demand. I would say a-squared Free and/or Malwarebytes. a-squared Free is the on-demand scanner of a real antivirus and it gets really good detection rates. Malwarebytes focuses on things normal av's miss, and it's detection rates are better than SAS'.
So you can also drop Iobit Security 360, it never had any good review, it's detection and realtime protection sucks. It doesn't actually matter if Iobit stole Malwarebytes database or not, it has never been a good program.
