B&R 10.1 Exclude from Copy/Backup

Just downloaded the free version 10.1. With no filters activated, my Used size for backing up is 52GB. I tried to create a filter to exclude my DATA folder which has 22GB in it. But when I look at the archive sizes, they are the same (25.8GB) with the filter on or off.

How do I exclude folders (and all subfolders under it)? Is there a trick to it? I tried choosing the folder ... C:/DATA/ ... and that didn't work. I tried C:/DATA/*.* and that didn't work.

Am I just missing something simple here?
