Problem: Windows7 64bits - lnfs driver (Error 0)

Hello everyone,

I've got Windows7 64bits Ultimate edition and i can't install my prefered firewall...
Once Runtime C++ x64 is installed, each time look'n'stop tries to launch, an alert saying "Impossible to load lnsfw driver (Error 0)".

Althought I have:
- Previously deactivated windows firewall (The three ones (Public, enterprise, private))
- Tried to install it normally first (reboot)
- Tried to install in admin mode
- Cleaned up the registry as mentionned on the official site
- Tried to install in safe mode with network on
- Rebooted after each change

I really don't understand as this product is said to be Windows 7 64bits compatible on the official site itself.

Any (genious) ideas?

Was Windows 7 installed freshly ‘Clean Install’ or upgrade over the existing Windows?

You may have some left behinds of another third-party software firewall product, or hidden an no longer needed drivers under ‘Network Adapters’ listing in Device Manager. To see these possible hidden drivers, you need to visit the Device Manager Menu and View\Show hidden devices.

I also imagine you did download the 64-bit Look ‘n’ Stop package instead of the x86 package...

First of all thanks for your answer.

To answer your questions:
-Yes it was a full clean install and not an upgrade.
-Yes it was the look'n'stop 64 bits French version trial obviously

I did a check by displaying the hidden elements of the device manager (sorry it is in French, but it is my native language ).

I've attached a capture of the network section. As you can see Windows 7 has installed many drivers within.

I don't know which one generate the conflict with look'n'stop. Anyway, the state you can look is after having fully deactivated Windows 7 firewall (Enterprise, public and private network).

Do you have any idea of it?
