Hey everyone,
So bear with me hear - I want to restrict apps to there trusted ports but how do I know what those are? (I can see where I need to specify them in the advanced application window)...? I really just want to get SPF setup right - I have the free version and have checked here for a guide: http://personal.atl.bellsouth.net/atl/i/k/ikpe/ but I will admit, I'm a little confused as to how restricting ports and the custom rules work exactly... another helpful site: http://homepage.ntlworld.com/susan.todd3/ wont pretend to fully understand your question....nor have I used a rule based firewall in a very long time..... if you are asking which particular port is assigned to a particular program.........FE: the particular port webwasher or proxo uses......usually that type of information can be found in the FAQ or readme of the particular program..... also asking another user of a particular program who also uses a rule based firewall sorry I am not able to offer more.. snowman |

You could also try looking here: http://forums.sygatetech.com/
and in case you´re not sure, don´t hesitate to ask for help. In the Advanced Application Window when you click the dropdown button behind the protocols you can choose from the most common ports. Maybe that will help putting you on the right track. Regards, Pieter
