Default Recovery disk does not see the external hard disks.

Hello...

I installad Paragon Backup&Recovery 10, made a backup of my systempartition on an external hdd and burnt a Paragon Recovery Disk.

When I use the recovery disk it doesn't find archives or sees the external hard disks. Samsung HD321KJ and Philips Spe3051cc/00.

Acronis True Image also doesn't see the hdd's.
Norton Ghost and Windows 7 (64-bits) Backup does.

I would really like it work with Paragon. Who can help? I ask it also for a friend of mine.

Best wishes for 2010.

Hi,

Did you select "Normal Mode" from the first menu when you booted the recovery cd?

If you did, it may be the Linux cd doesn't have the drivers to see the external HD.

The WinPe cd will - but that is only available with the paid products.

You can make a Bartpe cd if you are familiar with that:

Thank you!

Yes, I tried (also) 'Normal Mode'.

I will try to make a 'BartPE cd'. I hope my English is good enough for following the instructions.

Is it true that I need 'WXP installation files' to build a BartPE.
(The 'builder' stops very soon with searching for those files. Also after I put my WXPHome in the DVD drive).

I have W7 64-bits. I guess that doen't work?

Hello Silly,

Yes you'll need to point the "Source" path to your Windows XP installation CD to build the BartPE.

Thnx.
I'm trying again to build a BartPE. Didn't let it search this time, but 'point to' and 'find' WXP. So that is looking promising!
But the link for the plug-in is not good anymore:
http://ftp.paragon.eu.com/US/WinPE/DB9x.zip
http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=257771

Where do I find the plug-in?

I burnt those maps and files with Nero on a dvd as an iso file but the dvd doen't boot. So I guess I did it wrong. But what?

Can you explain to me how to burn a bootable BartPE dvd?

I figured out that I have to make an iso in BartPE, I guess. ?

Tried that, but the iso wasn't made because of 145 faults...

Now what?

ps
Does it matter that WXP is in Dutch?
