How often do you visit illegal cracks site??

yes in the past and i was wrong, now with this new PC am more focused in supporting open source softwares and freebies.

i have to admit i used to do that quite a lot when i was young and new to computers but i have not touched on of those sites in a very long time. u might say i have become enlightened

Somewhat - No-DVD-Patches are important if you have a noisy DVD drive

I don't, for several reasons:

- I find it much more satisfying to buy something with money I earned. This way I know I'm supporting the people who made the product, so that they can continue to make such products.

- Piracy is, let's face it, unethical. If the maker of some software wants you to buy that software, you should respect their wishes and buy it. I don't consider it on the same level as physical theft for various reasons, but doing it still leaves me with a bad taste in my mouth.

- On occasions when I have downloaded pirated software and scanned it with AVs or other security software, I have found it to be infected with something, ranging from simple file infectors to MBR rootkits... EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.

Now I will say this: some software makers (*cough* Microsoft *cough*) artificially inflate their prices, just because they can. I don't like that. But there are ways around it for those who can't afford it, e.g. student discounts offered by colleges; and if you're really poor, well, then you probably have bigger concerns than some piece of software.

Visiting won't infect me too much, its running cracks and keygens affects. But for them VirtualBOX and Sandboxie is their.

BTW i don't use Keygens or Cracks. I hardly have any keygen or Patches in ma system. I don't rely on them.

From my personal experience, it's not like those sites (or downloads) are that bad. Yes, browser exploits could be present, and your downloads most likely contains some malware, but at least they usually add actual crack or serial or keygen alongside Usually...

Anyway, if i want a new malware samples i usually visit MDL, Malwarebytes forums or some ~ Snipped as per TOS ~ imageboards. That works most of the time.

As for visiting crack sites nowadays: i never do it. I have no reason. If some software requires paid license for working i either find some freeware/open source alternative or buy a license. If someone spend their time developing/creating this product - they sure deserves a credit for it

I started this thread 3 months ago. That time i was searching for new malwares to find the best AV.But i couldnt find the best.
Now i stopped searching for those malwares bcoz i got job in an automobile company . SO I wont visit those sites in future.
