Hi,
What does this warning mean, after having done a full scan, and why do you get such a warning? as a guess, maybe that .exe uses some kind of file compression that Nod32 does not understand

Any setup file compiled with INNO shows that notification - file is not an archive. Nothing suspicious - Cudni's guess appears accurate.

Hi Cudni and stackz,
I understand what you're saying, but Quote:
not every setup file built with Inno Setup, is giving that warning from NOD32. Just two examples where I don't get that warning from NOD32: everestultimate530.exe (version 5.30.1900.0 of Everest Ultimate) This installation was built with Inno Setup. ea9setup.exe (version 9.7.10.1 of Express Assist) This installation was built with Inno Setup. |

at this stage and until someone from Eset with better knowledge can provide an explanation all we can do is speculate

FanJ,
you're quite right. I inspected my last scan results and checked on the INNO setup files. Some of them reported as 'not an archive', I was able to extract their contents using 7zip, others would not extract. It seems likely that it is dependent on what version of INNO was used to compile the setup file and that ESET's unpacker just doesn't recognize all compression methods. The same goes for 7zip archives - with all the different compression methods available in this program, their are some that ESET products do not recognize. |

Hi,
With todays update of the Archive support module the issue was fixed :) No more warning from NOD32 version 2 on that file. Thanks ESET.
