Default MS Update Problem

I went to download/install the latest updates for Win 7 64-bit and it went well except for update 976325. Nearly halfway( 45% )into installation i received an 80072f78 error. My time/date/location is correct....at first location was off. Did a netsh reset thinking maybe winstock, but problem is still there. Tried reboots, shutdowns and earlier snapshots
BTW...I scanned with a few anti-malware programs and nothing showed.

Hi rainwalker
You could have a look here for a possible cause to your update problem

You may encounter temporary connection-related errors when you use Windows Update or Microsoft Update to install updates

The update is for IE8 and I had some problems getting the update as well. I downloaded the file, saved it, and installed from my hard disk.

I understood it to be a Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer 8, but when i went MS Download Center and did a search i saw nothing for Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer 8. Saw only KB976325 server updates. Went back a third time, after your post, and saw it immediately. I know how this reads .......anywhy, thanks ronjor. Got it installed...I'm happy.
