Win7 LAN Issues May Be IRPStackSize

Since I introduced a Win7 PC to my XP PC network, I have had several issues.
The internet not working or working intermittently on some or all PCs was solved by updating the Network Adapter driver on the Win7 PC to one that was meant for Win7.
The LAN has been an issue. It worked at first then stopped. All PCs can see the other PCs but cannot access any files. The only way I found to correct this was to add an IRPStackSize DWord value to the Parameters of Lanmanserver in the registry. This issue has been around for many years and was originally attributed by Microsoft to antivirus software.
Is there something in ESS V4 that could be causing an issue with IRPStackSize.
I should also add that the problem only occurs once a Win7 PC is added to a network, and then all the PCs in the network have to have the IRPStackSize increased or added.
I tried every other suggestion on the forum regarding Win7 network issues and they did not work.

ESET Smart Security can sometimes see communication from a device or another machine as a type of attack. I would recommend trying the steps in the article below to see if the same issues still appear.

This fix might work if there is just a problem with the internet connection but I never had any problem with the internet connection which worked fine on all PCs. I had tried unticking the boxes (and many others) as you suggested but the network would still not work. Modifying the IRPStackSize was the only thing that worked and the network has been stable ever since.
