To "disable" the MD firewalling, visit the the "Rules" tab. Click plus sign to expand "Global Network Rules". Double-click the line item for the default NetworkRule. By default it will be set to "Ask"; change it to "Permit" and click OK to close the rule editor.

Although I have not tried using MD + ESET together, I have found that MD can peacefully coexist with Comodo (Firewall and Defense+) or with the current Jetico firewall... so I would be surprised if you encounter any problems from a MD + ESET combo.

...or:
  • Right click 'Tray Icon',

  • Uncheck 'Network Protection'
