Default Multiple users

Hi

I am using look 'n stop in both Vista and Seven.

My question is... well, since vista, looknstop is launching only at user login, and the config is stored for each user profile in the registry.

Now, why is it impossible to launch it before login?

So, if I am right, I need to independently set look 'n stop in EVERY account on my machine

What will happend if I open 2 accounts at a same time? Wich rules will be used

So basically, how it works? There is the low level driver, and the user mode program will talk to it in order to read and process the traffic? What are the components of look n stop and how do they interact with each other??

Thanks for your help

Alex

I got an answer from the e-mail support so I will post it here anyways.

Microsoft changed the service starting policy, and it is no longer possible
to start an application with a GUI as a service.
Major changes in the design are required to create a real service.

If you are afraid some connections can occur before Look 'n' Stop is started
there is a registry tweak to block all traffic before Look 'n' Stop is
started.

Again, this is a Microsoft change. Standard applications (not elevated) can
no longer read/write to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE in the registry but only to
HKEY_CURRENT_USER.
That's why the configuration is now specific to each user.

Two instances are started, each one having its own options (including
rules).
But only the instance for the current user (owning the display) is active.
The other instance is in standby.
If you switch from one user to the other user, the active instance becomes
inactive and the other one become active.

Regards,

The Look 'n' Stop Team.
