Default adobe flash player disabled itself

on my secondary pc(XP home 32bit) i left it in stand by mode overnight and when i woke it up and went on IE8 i noticed flash didnt work anymore, it was disabled in the addons. i had to reenable it to make it work. what could have caused flash to disable by itself?

I'm not trying to crack wise here or anything but look at the first word in the subject line....."Adobe" pretty much says it all.

I had more or less the same experience with another add-on. It enabled itself. And I had to turn it of manually. Again.

It's a Microsoft thing, I guess. Spooky...
