No - afaik the license is good for its term, not for the version you're using, and you'll get final release updates automatically if you set Prevx so.

This is correct Frankly, when we release a new version with improved protection, we want to update all of our users as soon as possible - it is in our best interest to keep our users using Prevx and to keep them as protected as possible

This is one reason why I chose Prevx.

Keep in mind that if they come out with any new features you will still have to pay to get those.

A valid point, but there is plenty of upside with Prevx, such as awesome support... unlike any I have ever experienced with any other security application. And, since I am not that needful of the new feature, then I am not phased by the fact that Prevx may want to be compensated for their efforts.

I do not disagree there are many positives with Prevx. But reading the response by PrevxHelp, one could be led to believe that new features that add protection will be apart of this when this is not the case.

We add a significant amount of new functionality into each new release for free. Granted, there are some features which go out of scope of the included licenses - like SafeOnline in this latest release. Unfortunately we aren't able to predict all of the functionality which will be included in the future but we try and put as much as possible within the same license.

As I've said, this is the same as any other industry: if you buy a car and a new car with a bigger engine is released, you aren't automatically upgraded to it. At times, there needs to be a breaking point of new functionality and SafeOnline crosses the barrier between an additional protection component and a new product.

Having been the most out spoken about their history and false positives I can also honestly say it appears to have really taking a nose dive in the last 30-45 days.

I think jad123 is talking about other positives, not false positives - but to clarify - by nose dive do you mean a decrease in FPs or that the quality of the detections have taken a nose dive?

Yes I am talking about positives of the product (support, detection, concept, etc) not false positives.

I get it. I don't like it but I get it. I am just whining about that is all. My wife will kill me if I spend another dime on security so I will have to wait the 297 days left on my license.
