Default newbie question encryption and imaging

my hard drive in encrypted by truecrypt. If i wanted to image the whole drive or particular folder will i have to decrypt first the drive or can i image with the drive encrypted

I'm not too familiar with TrueCrypt technology, but we can do a quick test to verify. With the virtual disk mounted, run a backup and use the File Transfer Wizard to see if you can go inside the archive without encryption.
