One of the only complaints Ive ever had about Nod32 is that it wasn't able to update the program itself though its updater, it had to be reinstalled if you wanted to update t the newest revision (were not talking from v3 to v4, but just things like from v4.0.424.0 to v4.0.467.0)

Never made much sense as thats such an important feature that even free programs can do.

    Has this ever been added?

Thats understandable to not have that s the default then, but id be willing to many people who use this AV (its more of an enthusiast AV then the others) want the program software to be kept up to date, a simple checkbox that isn't the default option inside the update settings, with a little description next to it that explains what was said in that post you linked would fix that.

The potential for bugs to be inside of thoroughly tested updates that are stable enough to replace the last version in the official download section doesn't seem to be a good enough reason to just simply not have the ability to update.

It use to be a bit of a bigger problem with V2 (I forget if V3 was the same) as the setup options were Waaay more complicated and took a while to get back to how you wanted. But it still would be nice to have an option.
