Default What settings slow NOD down?

I have normally set things to the full scanning as far as threatsense and email etc... I leave compatibility at default and have never had any problems.

With this latest version I am getting slowdowns with max cpu usage in many cases.
I've located a few problem programs like "siw.exe" and excluded them and thats fixed it for those instances.

But my question is do you guys recommend default settings in most cases?

If not.... which settings do you avoid to prevent unnecessary slowdowns and stall outs due to heavy cpu usage?

Default Re: What settings slow NOD down?

I assume that the exe file is a larger one, packed with a high compression ratio. However, a scan by real-time protection should be reasonably quick with default settings as the file wouldn't be emulated with advanced heuristics.
