Default Help with Exceptions for Activity Monitor File and folder

I want to run an Activity Monitor on my kids laptop and I know ESET picks it up. How do I add an exception for it by file and or folder type?
Do I just let it detect it and add it to exceptions some how in the ESET interface?
Its ESET NOD32 AV4
Thanks,

Joe
