Checking Boot Record
Hello,
I am trying to help a friend who suspects a boot virus. While I am reasonably sure his system is clean, he is not. This is primarily due to the Avira Rescue CD results which stated the following: “Checking the master boot record of drive 128 error (2): cannot read record” I have seen this before: actually one of my systems shows the same error. (BIOS setting on my system) So my question is what software would be good to check the boot record? (Preferably free) Thank you. |
