Default Windows 7 themes

I'm still in the process of moving everything over to Windows x64 from XP x86. To be honest, I like 7 very much. But there was one thing I haven't been able to solve regarding the themes for this version. When I change a theme, to one of the ones that came with 7 by default, the only things that change are the glass color, the desktop wallpaper and the sound scheme. My problem is that I cannot seem to get any other aspect of the interface to change. I hate the blueish color that is the default. See the screenshot below for further clarification of what I'm talking about.

Is there any way to change this? I do remember finding several non-official themes around the internet such as this one (not windowblinds), but even after trying those that color does not change. Below is an examplw of just how bad this god-awful color scheme looks with go-oo.

Any ideas?

You will need to patch three system files with this:
http://deepxw.blogspot.com/2008/11/u...e-patcher.html
or using a service to change themes with this:
http://uxstyle.com/ (Beta)
Im using the first one without problems. You can restore the patched system files very easy. The uxstyle one didnt worked very good for me. It deactivated itself after some time.

Here is a good list with more themes:
http://www.neowin.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=818990

Im currently using this one:

Most of the time the themes have a description on how to install them. You can also replace the start orb with a custom one but i never do that because you need to replace the explorer.exe and the differences aren't that big.

The themes files go into this folder:

I do wonder though if it would be possible to use that theme as a base and then modify the glass settings for that it would look like Black Transparent (here). That would be awesome. Any takers?

To change logon backgrounds i found this:
http://tweaks.com/software/tweakslogon/ (doesnt need install)
this:
http://www.lukepaynesoftware.com/lsr/index.html

With them you can change the background to any image.
Well there are many of them out there

Haven't tried it yet though...

But the link from lodore makes it without a need for another third party app.
