Default Internet Painfully Slow with ESS 4

Hi there,
After installing ESS 4 i noticed my internet connection + browsing was
extremely slow.
my internet connection is 250KB/s but i was getting 10KB/s only.

Im Running XP Sp3

i tried the solutions provided by ESET

http://kb.eset.com/esetkb/index?page...nt&id=SOLN2132
&
http://kb.eset.com/esetkb/index?page...nt&id=SOLN2217

but nothing worked.

I disabled the web traffic monitor, but didnt help.

Also if i Disable my connection then Re-enable it doesnt connect.

I Uninstalled Nod and tried another secuirty software and everything was fine.

Installed Nod again, and the issues were back.

is there anyway of solving this issue.
Thank you

Do you have client for microsoft networks and file and printer sharing with QOS packet scheduling installed and present in your net card config ? if not have you ever reset winsock without them present ? if yes, then install them and reset winsock, and it should be fine after that.

Another problem solved, another Eset license saved...... case closed, thread closed..end of story....

I prove my point once again folks, even though uninstalling eset seems to make the problem go away, which would make you think it's something the program ESS or NOD32 is doing that is the fault, it's actually usually something in the operating system and has nothing to do with Eset causing the problem.BUT ! ! ! ! Eset has to implement changes, so the program doesn't seem to break so easily from these windows problems. Like the problem I had which windows XP prefetch was causing, but there are workarounds.Eset needs to make these changes, else they will keep getting complaints from customers thinking the Eset software is the culprit.... when really, it isn't.

Running XP Pro SP3 and IE8 upgraded from NOD 2.7 to ESS 4 and found web pages on IE8 were loading as if back on dial-up (though Firefox was fine). Tried all above without success.

My cure was to disable the Grab Pro add-on (which also disables Octh Class, both of the GlobalNet Ltd add-ons) in IE8.

Hope it may help someone.
