Your favourite Gimp plugins/filters ?

For Ubuntu users who have just switched from Windows, 'The Gimp' paint program might seem a little strange.
Here are a few useful filters and plugins.

G'MIC for Gimp Put it into / home/user/.gimp-2xx/plug-ins folder after extracting. In Gimp find it under 'Filters' tab.



Lomo Plugin elsamuko-lomo.scm (scroll down) Put it into /home/user/.gimp-2xx/scripts folder. In Gimp find it under 'Filters'>'Light and Shadow'



Liquid Rescale. This plugin comes with the gimp-plugin-registry package (Universe) in Synaptic. http://liquidrescale.wikidot.com/
In Gimp find it under 'Layers' tab.



There are hundreds of filetrs, brushes, scripts, patterns etc. available. Just Google. Useful site: http://registry.gimp.org/

Export to SWF

This python script might be quite useful. For instance the Generate XHTML File
option reduces the image size considerably. From 36,3KB to 1,3KB with one
I tried.
The Export to swf is available under File menu in Gimp 'Flash SWF Export'.
The script should be placed in ~/.gimp-2.6/plug-ins
It seems to be updated regularly with new features planned. Have alook at the
