I recently found K-meleon webbrowser, I amusing Firefox 0.8 right now, but, I want to find a much lighter/faster webbrowser than Firefox, and K-meleon looks like its it, Is K-meleon a good webbrowser? (Its based off the gecko rendering engine), is it worth downloading to try?

it is supposed to be a fast browser very customizable. And it is open source and free. I have a couple of friends that have or are still useing k-mellon and like it pretty well.

K-Meleon is Gecko based. Gecko is the rendering engine in Mozilla. Mozilla is developing Firefox as the new technology rendering engine, I suppose Gecko will benefit from the Firefox development.
If I'm right Firefox is the basis on a future K-Meleon engine. You might consider this while choosing.

Firefox isn't too light on my PC, for some reason, I found Firebird 0.7 to be ALOT lighter.... I guess I'll just stick with Firefox 0.8, unless I run accross something lighter on system resources..
*edit* Its not really -slow-, just slow on loading up, (Takes about 15-20secs to load on my PC), and slow when switching between it, and other programs... |
