Firewall on/off

    I have a window on my screen from MS security centre which tells met that the ESET firewall is turned off. Simultaneously ESET itself tells me the firewall is turned on. Which should I believe?

    I'd believe ESS.

    Whis OS and which ESS do you have? Try this.

    This afternoon, when I turned my computer back on. Windows (XP SP3) did not tell me the firewall was turned off. Turning it off and on resolved the issue for me, apparently.

    But it still makes me wonder. Is it a Windows issue or an ESET issue?
