Default Returnil and secure delete

Hello Coldmoon.

I am using v2.0.1 9002.

Rather than use the "erase all change remnants from the real hard disk" option,in advanced Returnil settings,
is it safe to use CCleaner with Simple 1 pass overwrite,enabled,while in the
protected state?

The reason I want to do this is it is much quicker,And it is something I use to
empty my Sandboxie box's anyway,so it is one less thing I need to add.

I just need to be sure I am not harming my Virtual partition.

thanks,
sammy

Hi Sammy,
The pass with CCleaner will not help as RVS is the only program with access to the cache file.

Thank you Coldmoon.
So without the erase all change remnants option being used,
anything deleted within a protected session,or downloaded but not saved,
to the real disk,within a protected session,
will be recoverable from the "C" drive?(until overwritten)?

Yes, but only in a forensics sense, similar to what you would get trying to read the Windows Page file.
