Default Blink Personal free

Has anyone used their most current version of it?
How is their detection? i know they use norman engine or something.
do people like it? im looking at it because it complete and free.

yes, eEye use norman's engine ,and whether it is the lastest norman engine 6.01.09,i don't know,but this software can't support scan for archive files,what a pity..

It's been a while since I used it. At the time the GUI was primitive. It felt like using a Windows 98 application. Unless it's been updated I wouldn't bother with it.

I agree.
Another negative was the suite was eating 100k of memory then.
IMO there was no reason for this.

Since this was a while ago you might want to give it a try.
Alot could have changed in the interm.
Just make a backup first.

I heard it was difficult to remove all of the components if you decided to uninstall it.

Blink does now has that scan archive option now, along with sandbox scanning. also is using norman most up to date engine.

blink is at version 4.4

I do get the fever/flu of trying new security applications, but over time it does slow down the machine. I have been using Antivir Premium the past couple of years with Online Armor. I really haven't had any problems with that combo.

I had to reinstall Vista on my laptop when I tried Blink. That bugger left quite a few registry and files stuck on my drive. No matter what I did I wasn't able to put them in my recycle bin. I'm sure Anti-virus 360 wouldn't remove it either!
