In an effort to provide a starting point for users developing an awareness of the many issues surrounding computer security and data integrity, a short thread entitled Securing Your PC and Data has been assembled and now appears in the Malware Problems & News forum of the site.

For everyone's convenience, the content has been consolidated into an MS Word document which can be downloaded from the lead post.

As we all know, there is no single optimal approach to achieving computer security. We all weigh the various facets of risks incurred and benefits obtained differently. This thread represents one weighting at this point in time. As time passes, the content in that thread may evolve. Time will tell.
