Unhappy Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 ESX/ESXi

Hi,

I have installed Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 with an Agent for ESX/ESXi Virtual Appliance. I imported the Agent on the ESX-Server. Now I am trying to add the ESX-Server with the Agent to the group of physical machines. But every time I receive an error message, saying the connecting to the machine didn't work. The corresponding error code is 0xAD0003, advising to check the address and the firewall.

The agent is installed, the firewall is disabled and the address is correct.
What else can I check?

Any help is appreciated.

Bye,
Frauke

P.S. Sorry for my bad english.

I have this up and running on 2 esxi servers, perhaps I can help.

Have you installed the appliance and is it running?

Have you set up the networking/authentication on the appliance?

Can you ping the ip of the appliance from the machine running the management console?

bIO
