I'm looking into purchasing this combo: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboD...t=Combo.235948
Could I do a drive backup with this? Thanks |

Generally yes. From the rescue disk most likely. From Windows...Run a chance of BSOD with the latest build see my gripe at: http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showt...87#post1519487 |

I have True Image 11 that came with my motherboard. So that should be OK?

Try it and see. If it works to make a backup to it from within Windows, but not able to see it via the boot CD for a Restore (very important that you check this), then download the Trial of the latest version/build, make a bootable CD from it (it will do only Restores, not BAckups) and do a "dry run" with the CD on a Restore. |

I have a docking unit by Thermaltake as shown in this link. I have connected mine as both SATA or IDE and both have been recognized by TrueImage 9-10-11-2009. I prefer to connect via SATA as it is a faster transfer of data.
