    Interesting. I'd never heard of this free version before.

    As far as I can remember, their app was decent in burning data but too bloated othwerwise for my taste. I guess this one is worth a try then :)

    I used to love Nero. But I also think it is bloated now. I have never seen the need to pay for cd burning apps since there are so many available as freeware or opensource.

    nero v6.x was last good version imho, i now mainly use imgburn

    Thanks for the link VincenZ.
    However, this is one I should have passed on.
    Very slow download.
    Unzipped the package, selected advanced install option, and everything went smoothly.

    -But-

    Talk about bloat !
    Over 135mb and all it offers is the data burning rom and disc copy ?
    Am I missing something ?
    At 135mb, I should be missing a whole lot !

    Imgburn takes up less than 3.5mb and does so much more.

    That download of course contains the full version but to unlock the full version you need a serial number. They probably hope you will enjoy Nero so much you will buy a key for it.

    I used to use Nero,for encoding / burning purposes,but have since found another program that works without all the bloat of Nero :D
