Default Updating ATI Echo Workstation to Build 8319

Hello,

i am trying to update ATI Echo WS. I could not uninstall Windows Agent and
therefor i could not install the new version. Is there a tool to clean the
whole machine from ATI?
The installer says that the installation was quit befor the program could be installed.

Regards

Hello Pietmey,

Thank you for using Acronis Corporate Products

We do not have a special tool to uninstall Acronis True Image Agent. You can do two things to uninstall Acronis True Image Agent:

1) Launch the installation file of the program, choose the component you want to uninstall and select the Remove/uninstall option.

2) Completely uninstall Acronis True Image Agent by means of Add or remove programs utility and reboot the computer.

Check that the below items are deleted, if not, delete them manually.

- C:\Program Files\Common Files\Acronis\TrueImageEchoWorkstation
- C:\Program Files\Acronis\TrueImageEchoWorkstation
- Delete \Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Acronis folder (or \ProgramData\Acronis in Windows Vista)
- C:\WINDOWS\system32\autoprnt.exe

Run regedit and delete the following registry keys:

* Windows 32 bit: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Acronis (Windows 64 bit: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Acronis)
* Windows 32 bit: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Acronis (Windows 64 bit: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Wow6432Node\Acronis)
* HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.tib
* HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.tis
* HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\tibfile
* HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\tisfile

Reboot the computer.

Thank you.

Hello Pietmey,

Thank you for your interest in Acronis True Image 9.0 Home

Use the following KB article to completely uninstall Acronis True Image Echo Workstation including all its components from the computer.

Let us know if the issue persists.

Best regards,

Hello,

problem still exists. Everything can be reinstalled well except
Windows Agent. Installer stops in the beginning before asking
any options.

Without agent i can not use this software the intended way!
Maybe you can send a debug version of the agent installer
to narrow thing down.
