Default NOD32 & Adaware

I recently found what i think its the cause of my problems with NOD32.I had the info module blank sometime and the update function looked crashed or not working.
I would like to share the experience with you,so that maybe could be of some help. I have Adaware Plus running on my machine and the Ad-watch activated.Inside the settings i activated "Lock startup sections in registry".I am not so sure what it really bothers NOD32,but it seems that it was interfering.Since i disabled it,now NOD32 works fine.

Default Re:NOD32 & Adaware

Hi IT_matt,

I also have Ad-Aware Plus and NOD32 v2, and the settings in Ad-Aware set to "Lock startup sections in registry". I believe if you wanted to try and re-enable that setting again, Ad-Aware would no longer interfer with NOD starting up at boot, since those settings locking the current startup programs would now include NOD.

If you do decide to try re-enabling those settings in Ad-Aware again, please let us know how it turns out.

Regards,

snap
