Question Acronis 10: USB CD BOOT DRIVE = Blank Screen

I just bought an HP2133 Mini-Notebook. No CD/DVD drive. I purchased a portable USB CD/DVD R/W drive. Made a DVD bootable via Acronis Bootable Rescue Media. This PC will boot to the created DVD but ends up with a blank (dark) screen. Any suggestions?

Default Re: Acronis 10: USB CD BOOT DRIVE = Blank Screen

Hello deputy454,

Thank you for using Acronis True Image 10.0 Home

First of all please make sure that you are using the latest build of the program. Check it in Help -> About. You can always download the latest build of the program from your account under Registered Products. Recreate Acronis bootable disc and see if the issue persists.

If the issue persists please try the following workaround:

- Boot the computer from Acronis True Image bootable rescue disc (Full version);
- Hit F11 key after the "Starting Acronis Loader..." message appears and you get to the selection screen of the program;
- After you get the "Linux Kernel Settings" prompt, please add "acpi=off noapic" parameter (without quotes) to the end of the Linux kernel command line (so it will be "quiet acpi=off noapic");
- Click OK button.

If the issue still remains please send us the serial number for Acronis True Image 10.0 Home and we will provide you ISO image which will solve the issue.

Best regards,
--
