When running smart scan on my PC (XP) CPU utilization goes throgh the roof and the logfile fills with the following error opening Crypto\MachineKeys (see log below).
The scan seems to hang, as it takes over one hour to reach ~ 30% complete. My other PC will complete the scan in less than one hour. I have read BlackSpear's posts regarding error[4], so I guess my issue is regarding the extreme amount of time the scan is taking to navigate files it cannot open (!?) Thanks in advance C:\pagefile.sys - error opening [4] C:\0393e030ac38946ff5e88b43\msxml4-KB927978-enu.log - error opening [4] C:\1b7f55021992c354a01b4007\xpsp1hfm.exe - error opening [4] C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\Crypto\RSA\MachineKeys\006259233a4946c3695d13d6cf8f3da3_1dce0e75-1303-433a-bfc1-6b582bd25551 - error opening [4] C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\Crypto\RSA\MachineKeys\0124f7d83e727a7c66c9448bbaf15768_1dce0e75-1303-433a-bfc1-6b582bd25551 - error opening [4] C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\Crypto\RSA\MachineKeys\01550a2443f49716703ab981fe65e6a9_1dce0e75-1303-433a-bfc1-6b582bd25551 - error opening [4] C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\Crypto\RSA\MachineKeys\015a95581d93bac4a2096c423f0a9b2c_1dce0e75-1303-433a-bfc1-6b582bd25551 - error opening [4] C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\Crypto\RSA\MachineKeys\01c19a82c56ac102e3a59ddbcaebcad0_1dce0e75-1303-433a-bfc1-6b582bd25551 - error opening [4] C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\Crypto\RSA\MachineKeys\01d61420075b126820bb9c4ead417d8f_1dce0e75-1303-433a-bfc1-6b582bd25551 - error opening [4] C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\Crypto\RSA\MachineKeys\01d66de2ea07c784af842a16ed1a563d_1dce0e75-1303-433a-bfc1-6b582bd25551 - error opening [4] Last edited by Costello : June 30th, 2009 at 10:38 AM. |
