I created a backup image to an internal drive and when I tried to validate the image, it said it was not the last created volume, even though there was only one file created. Several days later I tried to validate it again, and did not receive the error message even though nothing else had changed.
I have now copied the image to an external hard drive and am once again receiving the error message. Is there anything I can do to ensure that the message goes away? I'm running the Seagate DiscWizard (Version 10, Build 5018) software from Windows, as my system does not support bootable media created from the DiscWizard. I'm trying to validate the image from an external drive because I get an "image corrupted" error when I try to restore the image from an internal drive. Edit: I just checked the original copy of the image on the internal drive, and it is now once again giving the "this is not the last created volume" error message! I have tested my memory and no errors were found. Last edited by Sorkaa : June 23rd, 2009 at 04:44 PM. |

Hello Sorkaa,
Thank you for taking time to contact us. It appears the backup file is corrupted. DiscWizard is distributed by Seagate company, they have the appropriate trained stuff to resolve the issues with this software. Please contact Seagate Support Services for a further troubleshooting. Thank you. -- Oleg Lee
