The free version will be updated constantly too, however, new features such as the antikeylogger will be added to the Pro version.

As far as I know, the web scanner and improved HIPS will be in the free version though.

The free version can't have everything...Then there is no need for a pro version, and then the researchers, programmers and the company cannot earn money.

The Auto Updates alone should serve as incentive to upgrade to the Pro version. The mild lag caused when Security 360 looks for manual updates at start-up could be eliminated. That's in addition to supporting IObit and the program.

Why is the service is360srv.exe running even though I have the program set up as an on-demand scanner? This is the reason I ditched A-squared free.

i think its a fairly obvious answer since u know about A2, id assume it wuld be for the same reason A2 runs a process...

And the answer is ....? considering that MalwareBytes and SuperAntispyware have figured out how to run an on-demand scanner without having a process running all the time.

well according to A2 its so it can run under a LUA (someone can confirm?) and/or so it can run if the system is infected (again can someone confirm?)

That is correct. It is so that Security 360 can run with the system's rights. This allows it to run even when you are not an administrator.

It sure is. You know I'm a Kaspersky addict but this was really impressive. And it not only found one file but 36 leftovers

It is a bit of both. It is not dedicated to anyone type of virus or spyware. It is an all round antimalware (as the name 360 refers to), which is intended to detect the stuff that antivirus' or antispywares miss.

It is not a stand-alone, and it needs to be used in conjunction with an antivirus and antispyware.

Tested it against some malware. On downloading it found nothing but when scanning it did find new malware. Is this the way it should work or is this because I have the free version installed?

Still too buggy for me. Program caused my OS (XP PRO/SP3) to crash after restart using two of the program's clean functions.

how would IOBit 360 compare to like Mamutu? i know IOBit has a behavior monitor of some sort and was wondering if its up at the same level of full fledged BB's?
