Default Why do scan results vary depending how you scan

Hi I was just wondering why when I right click on a folder and then chose "Scan with Eset Nod32 Antivirus" I get no threats found. Then when I open Nod32 GUI and chose to scan the same folder via Computer Scan -> Custom Scan -> and then chose the same folder to scan, the scan shows threats found. Why the different results. I've got the newest version of NOD32 and WinXP pro SP3.

Most likely because the scans use different parameters. You can change the scan parameters of the context scan by going into the advanced tree and selecting 'On-demand computer scan' and selecting 'Context menu scan' for 'Selected profile:'. Now change the parameters for 'ThreatSense engine parameter setup'.
