New 2.06p4 version

Hi All,

This the announce for the 2.06p4 update.

It's a minor/patch update with the following content:

Additions:

• Support for IPV6 address in Application Port & IP dialog box configuration.
• Possibility for a plugin to handle the popup window when a new application connects.
• Support for DLL filtering with Windows 7 RC (32 bits).

Fixes:

• Better detection of PPP connections (with PPP some adapters, the IP @ was not detected and the "Connected to internet" checkbox not ticked).
• When the maximum number of applications in the Application Filtering tab was reached, the popup message was not displaying properly.
• Fixed some bad parent application detection (for x64 version only).

If you are updating from a 2.06px (or if you know VC2005-SP1 Libraries are already installed), you can use the standard setup:
32 Bits version:
- English release
- French release
- Release with the translation plugin

64 bits version:
- English release
- French release
- Release with the translation plugin

For a fresh install, or updating from a 2.05/2.06, use the full setup (with VC2005-SP1 Libraries):
32 bits versions:
- English release
- French release
- Release with the translation plugin (for other languages)

64 bits version:
- English release
- French release
- Release with the translation plugin

No need to uninstall your current version. Just answer "Yes" to the update message after having started the setup program. A reboot is required at the end of the installation.

"automatic start :service" could be chosen.but it seems to be not valid.

Normally, the service mode can be enabled only under Win2000/XP, but not under Vista/Win7.
Which version of Windows are you using ?

does anyone here recommended using Phant0m rule set? does it give strong protection more than the defualt rule sets?

At this time, the 2.06p4 version is available only from the forum and this thread.
Later the main Look 'n' Stop site will be updated.
